Inkjet Inks
With diverse expressive power, as well a high degree of freedom for use in a wide variety of applications, TAKA “Dye Sublimation inkjet inks” are responding to all types of needs, and demand is growing.
TAKA Dye Sublimation inkjet inks can be used in a wide range of applications involving polyester materials such as clothing for men, women, and children, bedding, curtains, interior and other home materials, mugs, accessories and other small articles, and other industrial materials, etc.
Conventionally, screen printing has been the mainstream method for printing on polyester. However, because of the need to be able to accommodate small lot printing on a variety of product types, and the need for environmental responsiveness such as eliminating the problem of water pollution without the need for fabricating printing blocks, digitalization through the inkjet method is advancing.
The inkjet method provides the merit of a high degree of design freedom.
The following two methods are widely used.
Of these methods, the transfer method offers merits such as simple and inexpensive printing equipment, easy handling of small lots, and flexible support of one point printing.
Moreover, the features of silk screen printing include distinct color boundary lines and high coloring performance.
However, the Dye Sublimation inkjet method excels in photographic expressivity, and because of the expressive diversity, the demand for the sublimation transfer method has grown even further in recent years.
• Excels in coloring performance with clear color boundary lines.
• Image of printing boundary lines that are somewhat blurred.
• Overall blurred image with minimal detailed expressive force.
• Excels in gradient expressive force with smooth gradations.
Dye Sublimation transfer printing excels in photographic and gradation expression, and provides highly detailed expressive force along with richly gradient coloration brought about by heat and pressure.
Next, the unique features of TAKA dye sublimation transfer inkjet inks are explained.
